How to Buy the Best Refrigerator
Today I will share with you how to choose the best refrigerator, summer is coming! Let’s take a look at how to buy it~
Refrigerator cooling method
Refrigerator cooling method: air cooling or direct cooling
Air-cooled, also known as frost-free, after high-temperature air flows through the built-in evaporator for cooling, the cold air is blown into it and circulates continuously, thereby reducing the temperature of the refrigerator.
The advantages of air-cooled ones are frost-free, fast cooling (forced circulation), and precise temperature control.
The frost-free air-cooled one does not produce frost, because as long as there is heat exchange, frost will definitely form, but the frost is inside it. We can’t see it with the naked eye, so it’s called frost-free.
This part of the frost, it will be removed by the defrosting heating system, and it does not need to be done manually. Air-cooled also have certain disadvantages. On the one hand, the structure is complicated and the cost is high. On the other hand, the food is easy to dry.
Generally, air-cooled refrigerators want food to retain moisture. We can keep the moisture in food through plastic wrap every day;
The direct cooling refrigerator is also called “frost one”. The evaporator absorbs the heat in the air of it through heat transfer to cool down the refrigerator. It is a cooling method by natural convection of the air.
Compared with air-cooled , the advantages are: low cost, no loss of fresh-keeping moisture, and most of the two-door economical.
But the shortcomings are also obvious, that is, the internal frost needs to be removed manually, which is also the most criticized place; the second is the uneven distribution of cooling capacity and the poor cooling effect.
Of course, there are also air-direct-cooling hybrid types, that is, direct-cooling for refrigeration, which has a fresh-keeping effect, and air-cooling for freezing, frost-free and precise temperature control. But this hybrid structure is more complicated and more expensive, and there are several hybrid in Siemens/Bosch.
Therefore, at present, the general high-end models are all mixed-cooled and air-cooled, and direct-cooled are still mainly economical.
